Tanjungpura (UNTAN) through the Community Development unit (ComDev)
& Outreaching again held "Activities Orientation and Basic
Leadership Training (LDK)" for new students receiving full scholarships
Outreaching UNTAN academic year 2011. This activity is formally opened by UNTAN Rector, Prof. Dr.. Thamrin Usman, DEA on Wednesday (7 September 2011) in the Annex Building UNTAN. Chairman & Outreaching ComDev UNTAN, Dra. Entin Daningsih, M.Sc, Ph.D stated that this activity is carried out by the regular agenda ComDev & Outreaching UNTAN.
This activity will be held for 4 days (8 to 11 September 2011) that contains a form of exercise training on discipline cohesiveness of the line of march, vocal training and dance in an effort peningkatn student creativity. In addition, students will also gain spiritual guidance that led to the strengthening of moral and faith of students, as well as the last student will receive academic and leadership as the material realization of an effort to build identity and mentality of a leader. The total number of students receiving full scholarships Outreaching UNTAN this year is as much as 350 people. Categories as seen in the selection include the student's background, family income, parents and dependents who owned the achievements of these students for study in high school. These activities will be guided by the YTC (Young Training Center).
Prof. Thamrin in his briefing motivational stories convey a personal experience and struggle to learn in school in order to reach goals. This is very useful in order to motivate the new students to continue the spirit and work hard in learning so as to reach the dream he wanted. Training activities like this is a medium of learning and mental training students to be prepared to undergo a variety of campus activities both academic activities and
